Have you ever thanked God for the pleasure and joy that colour brings into your life? We’ve just seen the bright yellow of the daffodils, and that’s being followed by the sight of hundreds of bluebells growing in woods, gardens and alongside the roads. Is there anything that reminds us more of God’s faithfulness than the sight of a rainbow with its seven beautiful colours? Even in the midst of winter the little robin’s bright red breast cheers us up! We’re so blessed to be surrounded by the lovely countryside we have here – and the freedom to enjoy it.
How different it is for the children who will be receiving the shoeboxes. We may not be able to do too much about that but in May we’ll try to bring some colour into their lives by collecting colouring pencils (the long ones!) and felt tips to cheer them up just a little bit! It would be good to have some more biros, erasers and pencil sharpeners as well. It’s not much but sent with our love and with God’s great compassion who knows what can happen!
Thank you again for all you do and God Bless you,
